For creating a mask, we have to select a certain area where we want to apply the masking. To do this we need to choose the Quick Select tool to paint over an area we want to isolate. It can be a background or any other are we want to knock out or replace with the image beneath. If we want to hide that selected area, we have to click on Select and Mask Properties Panel. This appliance creates a mask by which the selected area becomes transparent. To erase a mask, first we have to select the eraser tool. Then we have to set the background color if we are erasing the background or a locked transparent layer. Then we have to go to the Options Bar, there we have to select Mode Setting and choose a mode. For example, choose a brush preset for brush and pencil modes. Also set the transparency and flows in the option bar. A 100% transparency erases the pixels completely.
